On August 12, 1995 the Eurasian Patent Convention entered into force. The Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization defined this date as the fundamental date of its establishment. 15 years of its activity and its achievements prove that the Organization has succeeded in its purposes. 

On August 2, 2010 a delegation from the European Patent Office consisting of Nina Formby, Project Leader for CIS and Mongolia and Marco Mergoni, Director, Division of Chemistry, Examination Department, visited EAPO. During the visit Nina Formby and EAPO representatives held working negotiations. 

On July 12, 2010 the Delegation of Mexico visited the Eurasian Patent Office. The Delegation of Mexico was represented by Mr. Alfredo Carlos Rendon Algara - Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI); Mr. Francisco Javier Gonzalez Garcia, Mr. Francisco Javier Soltero Jimenez, Ms. Maria Judith Meza Nixon – representatives of the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry; Mr. Miguel Angel Dominguez Morales, Mr. Ramon Gonzalez Figueroa; Mr. Fernando Cano Trevino Mr.Luis Miguel Hernandez – representatives of the Tequila Regulatory Council. 

On June 16 -19 the EAPO Delegation headed by the EAPO President A.N.Grigoriev visited the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland (NBPR). 

On May 26-28, 2010 the WIPO delegation visited the Eurasian Patent Office. The WIPO delegation was represented by Mr. William Meredith, Infrastructure Modernization Division, and Mr. Mikhail Gavrikov, Program Officer, PCT International Cooperation Division. 

The 7^th session of the Standing Working Group on Information Technologies under the Administrative Council of EAPO (EAPO AC SWGIT) was held at the EAPO headquarters in Moscow on May 25-26, 2010. 

On May 11, 2010 the delegation of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) visited the Eurasian Patent Office. The OAPI delegation was represented by Mr. Paulin Edou-Edou, Director General, and Mr. Antonio Nosoliny, Director of International Cooperation Department.

The Twenty second (sixteenth regular) meeting of the EAPO Administrative Council took place in Moscow, Russian Federation on November 10-12, 2009. 

On July 22 to 24, 2009 a Regional Seminar "Automation of a Modern Patent Office and Electronic Filing" took place in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. The Seminar was organized by the National Center for Patents and Information under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan (NPI Center), the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
