The III International Scientific and Practical Conference “Intellectual Property in the Modern World: Challenges of Time and Development Prospects” finished in Minsk (hereinafter Conference).

The program of the Conference covered a wide range of important issues. They included IP transformation, the most appropriate instruments for IP protection, rights management in foreign markets, the practice of lending against the pledge of IP rights, approaches to determining the legal status of software, and others.

EAPO Vice President Emil Mammadov made a report on the main aspects of the EAPO Development Program until 2028 at the plenary session:
“The Republic of Belarus is undoubtedly one of the leaders in promoting IP system development initiatives in the Eurasian space. The main aspects of the Development Program are all aimed at making the IP system more accessible and convenient for applicants in the Eurasian space”.

Emil Mammadov urged his Belarusian colleagues to consider the possibilities of incorporating Belarusian organizations into the system of examination outsourcing in the Eurasian space and to develop IT cooperation.

Furthermore, EAPO examiners made presentations at the conference.
