The Forum is focused on the role of inventions and innovations in the economic development of the country. It gathered inventors and examiners from the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

President of the EAPO Grigory Ivliev took part in the opening ceremony of the Forum on the Promotion of Inventions and Innovations, held in Dushanbe on 25 April 2024.

“Introduction of new technologies into the market facilitates the growth of the national industry, creation of new vacancies, economic increase and competitiveness development. We need to continue systematic efforts to raise the level of patent awareness and provide inventors, innovators, regions and talented young people with tools to realize their creative initiatives,” Grigory Ivliev said.

“The success of each country in the modern world depends on the research and implementation of advanced technologies and the level of competence…We focus on awareness of the society, as well as on the introduction of various innovative knowledge and technologies, including in the industry. We try to motivate and attract young people to invent and innovate, so that in the future they will help develop the country. We organize various competitions and events to support young people,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri.

The President of the EAPO briefed on the projects implemented by the EAPO to support inventors from the Member States of the Eurasian Patent Organization and promising areas of cooperation, including patent searches on request of the National Patent Information Centre of the Republic of Tajikistan.
