The EAPO Section ‘IP Protection as an Important Tool of Integration Policy in the Eurasian Space’ was held on the second day of the AUTHOR – 2024 Conference.

Eduard Shablin, President of the Assembly of Eurasian Patent Attorneys and Partner of Patentika Law Firm, moderated the Section.

Grigory Ivliev, President of the EAPO, greeted the participants of the Section.

‘The increasing applicants’ activity from the EAPO Member States is a positive trend for Eurasian integration. The number of Eurasian patents granted in 2023 increased by almost 50% compared to 2022 and accounted for 25% of the total number of granted patents. Applicants from the Russian Federation (539 applications), the Republic of Kazakhstan (103 applications) and the Republic of Belarus (91 applications) remain the most active,’ Grigory Ivliev highlighted.
