INVESTING INTO THE FUTURE: THE EAPO IMPLEMENTED A NEW EDUCATIONAL PROJECT – FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

On April 2, 2024, the first fellowship program on “Examination of Inventions in the Field of Chemistry and Medicine” was completed at the Eurasian Patent Office.

The aim of the one-year program was to train highly qualified specialists in the patent search and patent examination. Examiners from eight EAPO member states, namely the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the program. These examiners, having higher professional education and specializing in medicine, chemistry, biology and pharmaceutics, were selected and recruited by the EAPO as fellowship examiners.

The program included both academic and training sessions attended by the most experienced examiners of the EAPO Examination Department, advanced training at the Training Center of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property, participation in seminars and other training activities.

The participants were awarded certificates following the results of the fellowship program.

Two participants were enrolled in the EAPO Chemistry and Medicine Division on a competitive basis.
