Experts from the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RSAIP) reviewed typical mistakes in the filing of applications for Eurasian patents. Particular attention was paid to medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and computer technology.
Joint EAPO-RGAIS webinar “Eurasian applications and patents for inventions: filing requirements and typical mistakes” was held on March 16, 2023.
More than 120 attendees including inventors, experts from national IP offices, Eurasian and national patent attorneys, patent examiners, representatives of scientific and education institutions from all member states of the Eurasian Patent Convention.
The EAPO examiners gave particular case studies on the requirements for filing applications for Eurasian patents for inventions.
In view of the peculiarities of the maintenance of a Eurasian patent, the webinar detailed the relevant EAPO procedures with reference to regional law.
Following the presentations, the speakers answered questions from the audience.
