Republic of Tajikistan: International IP Day was celebrated by awarding the best entrepreneurs of the Republic

This day the awarding ceremony for the winners of the Republican competition «Brand of the Year-2022» called «Peak of Glory» took place in the Surush Palace.

The event was solemnly opened by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan. He noted that the main goal of this competition, within the framework of the goals and priorities determined by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, is to ensure the development of the private sector, encourage domestic producers of goods and services, as well as encouragement and promotion of company brands in domestic and foreign markets.

The Assistant to the President for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources, the Chairman of the National Bank, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as heads and deputies of other ministries, departments and representatives of the private sector attended the ceremony.

The main objective of the competition is to draw the attention of entrepreneurs and commodity producers to the essence and role of the brand in business, to encourage them to purchase a trademark and ensure their legal protection. This event was organized to fulfill the relevant paragraph of the National Strategy for the Development of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.

The «Brand of the Year» competition is held for the fourth time. 110 domestic brands were represented in 15 nominations and 32 sub-nominations. The winners and participants of the competition were evaluated by an independent jury consisting of representatives of ministries, departments and the private sector of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Production and service enterprises, such as Akia Avesto Avtomativ Industry LLC, Makolli LLC CJSC, Shirin confectionery factory, State Unitary Enterprise in the Republic of Tatarstan Amonatbonk, Spitamen Bank CJSC, Indigo CJSC Tajikistan”, CJSC “TT Mobile” took part in the competition. The winners received appropriate awards.

Amin Zavkizoda presented a special award-medal of the World Intellectual Property Organization to Rogun HPP OJSC under the Rogun brand, reports the official website of the National Patent Information Center of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
