The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavqi Zavqizoda, met with the President of the Eurasian Patent Office, Grigory Ivliev. The parties discussed the international and regional agenda in the field of intellectual property as well as the further development of bilateral cooperation. This was reported by the online radio “Voice of the CIS” in the press service of the Ministry of Trade of the country.

During the meeting, the parties focused on the possibility of further implementation of relevant programs to strengthen the specialists’ capacity in the industry and the exchange of experience in this area, to provide comprehensive assistance and support for technoparks and innovation centers, encouraging inventors, as well as the implementation of registered inventions.

The Minister stated that Tajikistan, as one of the EAPO members, plays a key role in addressing the issues of Eurasian integration in the field of intellectual property.

Both parties expressed their willingness to expand bilateral cooperation at the conclusion of the negotiations.
