The President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO), Grigory Ivliev, visited Turkmenistan.
During the visit, there was a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Serdar Jorayev. The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan coordinates the work of the national patent office, the State Service of Intellectual Property.
There was also a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation.
In addition, Grigory Ivliev attended the opening ceremony of the “smart” city of Arkadag. Arkadag is the first integrated mega-project in the history of Turkmenistan, which is implemented on the basis of the urban development concept of “smart” cities involving “green” technologies. Its territory will cover more than 1,000 hectares. The project was initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen Nation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Arkadag city was assigned a special legal status – a city of state significance.
