The Forum, organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), will last until July 26. Rakhat Kerimbaeva, Director of Kyrgyzpatent, takes part in the Forum.

The Director of Kyrgyzpatent delivered a welcoming speech at the opening of the Forum, and also held a bilateral meeting between the Kyrgyzpatent delegation and the delegation of the National Intellectual Property Administration of China headed by Mr. Shen Changyu. The parties discussed the draft plan of cooperation between the Offices for 2023-2024.

The draft plan of joint work includes issues such as creation of innovative classes in schools in the regions of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, and Osh cities; the creation of intellectual property education centers in universities of Kyrgyzstan with the assistance of WIPO and the People’s Republic of China; and internships of Kyrgyzpatent staff in the national Chinese office.

According to the official website of Kyrgyzpatent, the Chinese party expressed its intention to include the above-mentioned issues in the final draft of the plan.

Representatives from offices of other Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) member states, namely Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, also take part in the Forum.
