On October 15, 2012, delegation from Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis visited the Eurasian patent office.
The delegation from Novartis was headed by Mr. Paul FELHNER, Global Head Pharma Intellectual Property, alongside Dr.Celine ROUQUAYROL, European Patent Attorney and representatives from Gowlings International Mr. Alexander CHRISTOPHOROFF, Partner, Attorney at Law; Mr. Vladislav UGRYUMOV, Partner; and Elena FADEEVA, Interpreter.
From the EAPO side the delegation consisted of Mr. Victor TALYANSKIY, Director, Examination Department (Head of the EAPO Delegation); Mr. Dmitry ROGOZHIN, Director Deputy, Examination Department; Mr. Michael IGNATOV, Director of Medicine and Chemistry Examination Department; Mrs. Marina KRYUKOVA, Director, International Relations Department; Ms. Ekaterina CHEKUN, Principal Specialist, International Relations Department and Ms. Evgenia VERYASOVA, Leading Specialist Interpreter, International Relations Department.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with EAPO’s activity, the functions of the Eurasian Patent System and its operational peculiarities as well as studying the questions related to patenting of inventions under the Eurasian procedure.
