Emil Mammadov, Vice President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO), took part in the International Forum “Kazan Digital Week-2023”. It was held in Kazan on September 20-22, 2023.
Emil Mammadov highlighted the EAPO’s growing application rates during the session “China: New Markets for Russian Entrepreneurs”.
“Our session implies discussion of new markets for Russian entrepreneurs, including the Chinese market. Obtaining a Eurasian patent for applicants from our Organisation’s Member States is the first step towards expanding the scope of business and entering international markets through the region,” stated Emil Mammadov.
According to the report, Tatarstan’s applicants demonstrated leadership in terms of filing 3D applications. Innopolis University submitted the very first Eurasian application for an industrial design with a 3D model. It contained an industrial design for an optical device known as a flaw detector. In November, engineers from Innopolis University received a Eurasian patent for an improved design of the printing unit of a construction 3D printer. This industrial design significantly improves printing fidelity, which enables the production of even more complex objects.
Mr. Xiang Bo, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan, who presented the capacity of PRC high-tech marketplaces, as well as representatives of Rospatent, FIPS and Tatarstan Center of Scientific and Technical Information also took part in the session.
