The Scientific and Manufacturing Innovation Implementation Centre (RU) received the 500th industrial design patent. The R&D company, which is a resident of the Novosibirsk Innovation Fund Technopark and a Skolkovo participant, has filed a number of Eurasian applications for industrial design of medical and laboratory equipment.

The design of laboratory equipment may also be the subject of an exclusive right to the industrial design. Eurasian patent No. 000500 was granted for the design of an inhalation chamber for laboratory animals:

Within the Eurasian system, it is possible to include up to 100 industrial designs of the same class in the International Classification for Industrial Designs in a single application. It allows for different designs to be combined in one application. 500 patents have been granted for more than 1,200 industrial designs, and more than 700 applications containing over 1,700 industrial designs have been filed during almost 3 years of functioning of the regional system of industrial design registration.
