The second Eurasian Conference on intellectual property and technology “IP EURASIA/IP INDIA’23” will be held on December 6, 2023 (online participation available).

Panel discussion I, “New Opportunities for Business Development in Eurasia and India,” will focus on the conditions for the development of trade cooperation between Eurasian and Indian states. The participants will discuss the economic background, conditions, and prospects for enhancing trade turnover, including technological exports, and the role of IP rights protection in Eurasia. Moderator: Dmitry Fadeev, Chairman of the Council on Intellectual Property of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Panel discussion II, “Impact of IP sector on the development of business cooperation between EAPC Member States and India,” will cover various aspects of technological cooperation with Indian partners. Moderator: Yuri Kuznetsov, Head of Patent Practice in Gorodissky & Partners.

Digital capacity in the intellectual property field will be discussed during panel discussion III, moderated by Yury Zubov, Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. New economic reality in the age of digital economy requires modern technological resources for the development of trade and economic cooperation between countries. Information systems in IP are of particular importance since they ensure the quality of examination and reliability of rights protection.

Panel discussion IV “Eurasian strategy for intellectual property development until 2035” will focus on the development of IP market, digital transformation, judicial system in the Eurasian space. Moderators: Alexandra Arakelova, Rector of the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RSAIP) and Ivan Shramkov, Deputy Director of the International Competence Center IP, RSAIP.

In addition, Foresight session “Advancing the future – Eurasian Partnership through Youth”, two workshops “Specifics of patenting computer-related inventions” and “Specifics of patenting pharmaceutical inventions” as well as Presentation of the book “Parallel Import and Exhaustion of Exclusive Rights to Intellectual Property. Cooperation in the Development of National Industry and Import Substitution” written by Benjamin Shakhnazarov will be held during the Conference.
