On December 17, 2020 the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva Andranik Hovhannisyan deposited the instrument of ratification of the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention with the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang.

Due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mode of operations of Rospatent, the International Bureau of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and of postal systems worldwide, Rospatent, in its function as the International Searching Authority (ISA/RU) and the International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA/RU), has changed the procedure for sending PCT notifications, international search reports, written communications, and international preliminary examination reports to applicants starting from March 30, 2020.
