EAPO examiners and IT specialists attended training from the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The educational program focused on the functionality of ePCT, the key electronic tool of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system, and the possibilities for seamless integration of the EAPO systems with this and other WIPO systems.
The speakers were representatives of the WIPO Committee for Technical Cooperation, PCT Legal and User Relations Division, and Information Systems Development Division.
The EAPO is especially interested in the development of technical cooperation with WIPO within further automation of the functions of the International Searching Authority and the PCT International Examining Authority, as well as due to the development of the new EAPO Integrated Information System. It provides for the integration with the electronic services of partner organizations.
