On June 16 -19 the EAPO Delegation headed by the EAPO President A.N.Grigoriev visited the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland (NBPR).
The purpose of the visit was to establish cooperation with NBPR in the area of information technologies, in particular, to study experience of Finnish colleagues on implementation and use of the Soprano system under the EPTOS platform.
The EAPO delegation held a meeting and negotiations with NBPR President Martti Enäjärvi, Senior Vice-President Eero Mantere, Vice-President Pekka Launis, Development Director Juha Rekola, IT Manager Timo Junnonen. The EAPO Delegation was informed of the NBPR activity, developments in the area of information technologies, organization of work on control of quality of examination.
As a result of negotiations the Parties decided to prepare a memorandum on cooperation in the area of information technologies covering practical steps on exchange of experience in the area of implementation of new information technologies according to development plans of EAPO and NBPR.
During the visit EAPO President attended the meeting with the company of patent attorneys Papula Nevinpat, which is representing interests of customers in the CIS region.
EAPO President A.N.Grigoriev invited Finnish colleagues to visit the Eurasian Patent Office at any time convenient for them.
