Republic of Azerbaijan ratified the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs

The Republic of Azerbaijan ratified the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention of September 9, 1994 by the Law adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan on May 5, 2020 and signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 19, 2020.

The Republic of Azerbaijan was the first of eight states party to the Eurasian Patent Convention that completed domestic procedures to ratify the Protocol for the Protection of Industrial Designs.

 

The Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs was adopted on September 9, 2019 at the diplomatic conference in Nur-Sultan, the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs will enter into force in respect of the first three states that have ratified or acceded to it, three months after the third state has deposited with the depositary, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, an instrument of ratification or accession.
