Representatives of EAPC Contracting States Agreed on Draft Regulations to Industrial Design Protocol

On December 8, 2020, the next stage of the work of the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC) Contracting States on the creation of the Eurasian system for legal protection of industrial designs was completed.

Following the videoconference meeting of the Working Group on the creation of the Eurasian system for legal protection of industrial designs, the EAPC Contracting States at the expert level agreed on draft Part II “Industrial Designs” of the Patent Regulations under the EAPC and the Statute on Fees of the Eurasian Patent Organization for legally significant and other actions taken in respect of applications for Eurasian design patent and in respect of Eurasian design patents.

The Working Group included representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO).
