Press Release on Making Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Eurasian Patent Organization

The ceremony of signing a Protocol on making Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Eurasian Patent Organization on Legal Protection of Inventions on the Territory of the Republic of Moldova after Denunciation by the Republic of Moldova of the Eurasian Patent Convention, signed on April 12, 2012 (hereinafter referred to as the Protocol) took place on August 22, 2017 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

The Protocol amends the ratio of the share of fees due to the Eurasian Patent Office of the Eurasian Patent Organization and the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova for maintaining the validity of Eurasian patents on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The Protocol was signed as commitment of the decision of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization made within the frameworks of the thirty-second (twenty-third ordinary) session, held on November 1-3, 2016.
