Press Release on EAPO President Participation in St. Petersburg International Legal Forum

May 18-19, 2016: President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) Ms. Saule Tlevlessova participated in the works of St. Petersburg International Legal Forum and gave a speech on the topic Perspectives of EAPO Development in the course of the Round-Table “Development of Institutional Environment of Intellectual Property”.

Among the main trends of development EAPO President noted in particular the necessity to improve the legislation of the Eurasian Patent Organization, access to WIPO CASE system, introduce accelerated patent prosecution, EAPO transition to international type search and create quality management system.

President of Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) Ms. Saule Tlevlessova had an official lunch with Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Mr. Francis Gurry after the completion of the Round Table. During the lunch the parties discussed the current objectives of EAPO and future cooperation between the Organizations.
