On the launch of the Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program between EAPO and EPO
The Eurasian Patent Office informs that the Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program (PPH) between the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) is to launch as of October 1, 2017.
The PPH between EAPO and EPO is based on the Memorandum of Understanding on the Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program (PPH) between EAPO and EPO, signed by Presidents of the Offices Ms. Saule Tlevlessova and Mr. Benoit Battistelli this spring.
The procedure for filing a request with the Eurasian Patent Office to conduct an accelerated examination of an application in accordance with the said pilot program is published on the EAPO web portal in the section International Cooperation / PPH Program in Russian.

The duration of the PPH pilot program is three years and may be further extended by mutual consent between EAPO and EPO.
