The Eurasian Patent Office has granted patent No. 049136 to the Swiss company for the development of a new approach to security mark creation.
The increasing quality of photocopies and printing every year requires new means of protecting banknotes, documents, checks, tickets, and bank cards. Security tags to safeguard them from copying are applied, which are constantly becoming more complex.
Swiss developers have improved the paint application method, which contains silver nanoplatelets to form a security tag.
The main advantage of this approach is that the security mark is visible to the naked eye without any additional equipment or tools. Although it is very difficult to counterfeit, it is easy to produce on an industrial basis, for example, when printing banknotes.
This innovative method will be protected on the territory of 8 Eurasian states: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
