The second rowing seminar IP Eurasia is being held in the southern provinces of China: Guangxi (Nanning) and Hainan (Haikou and Wenchang).
This project continues the joint initiative of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). Last year, similar events were held in the northeastern provinces of the China.
Grigory Ivliev, President of the EAPO, emphasized that cooperation in the field of intellectual property is in line with the overall direction of regional cooperation on the Eurasian continent, including the implementation of the Greater Eurasian Partnership and the “Belt and Road” initiatives:
Eurasian countries maintain a high level of bilateral cooperation with China in the fields of economics, science, and technology. The EAPO is interested in exchanging best practices regarding the development of IP systems. Our priority is to protect the interests of innovators and create conditions that enable them to commercialize their breakthrough inventions worldwide, improve quality of life, and contribute to the development of our countries’ economies.
The seminars were attended at a high level, featuring presentations by Mr. Zhang Zhicheng, Deputy Commissioner of the CNIPA; Mr. Li Feng, Vice Governor of Hainan Province; and heads of regional IP offices.
Participants included representatives from the professional community, high-tech enterprises from Guangxi and Hainan provinces, universities, and research organizations.
