EAPO President Grigory Ivliev addressed women inventors of the Republic of Tajikistan on the prospects of using IP tools for development.
“Patents pave the way for new technologies and new innovative products, new industries and new jobs. I am confident that enhancing the role of women and innovation and entrepreneurship will become a driver of social and economic growth in Tajikistan and other countries of the Eurasian region. Our joint efforts and consolidation of knowledge, resources and ideas will generate a powerful synergistic effect.”
Women inventors and IP specialists from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Russia attended the forum.
“Holding such forums and exhibitions helps strengthen the link between inventors and industry and facilitates the practical application of inventions. The measures taken by the Government contribute to the steady increase in the number of inventors, especially women and girls, as well as to the improvement of working conditions and scientific and inventive activity in the country,” noted Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Dilrabo Mansuri.
Tatiana Erivantseva, Director of the EAPO Patenting Promotion Center, made a report on how to identify patentable IP objects, describe the invention’s characteristics in a patent application to secure the broadest possible legal protection and increase the chances of successful commercialization.
One of the forum participants is Eleonora Zelenova, a Russian inventor, startup founder, and research engineer at the National University of Science and Technology MISIS.
She shared her experience in developing neuroimplants that help restore motor and sensory functions to the human body after injuries. She emphasized that advanced technological solutions proceed from the idea to commercialization and product creation.
