HOW TO CONDUCT AN EXAMINATION OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS?

Professionals from the national patent offices of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia now have advanced knowledge in this field.

They have completed the internship “Eurasian Patenting System: Practical Aspects of Inventions’ Examination in Mechanics and Physics. Patentability of solutions in computer technology and artificial intelligence,” which was organized by the Eurasian Patent Office in Moscow on May 13 –24.

Examiners from the EAPO Member States exchanged experience and gained knowledge on all aspects of the Eurasian patenting system, including the specifics of the patent search procedure, drafting and filing of Eurasian applications, and the stages of examination of solutions in physics, mechanics and IT.

Patenting computer technology inventions is one of the most promising areas of the Eurasian patent system.

“We annually organize an internship for examiners from the EAPO Member States. This year, it was focused on computer technologies and artificial intelligence. Now it is one of the most promising and relevant fields of our lives. The number of applications in IT is growing day by day. Therefore, we should keep up with the times. I am sure that the internship will improve the quality of examination of new technologies across the Eurasian space,” said Grigory Ivliev, President of the EAPO.
