In Minsk, the National Centre for Intellectual Property with the assistance of the Eurasian Patent Office held an educational program for representatives of the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia.

The participants learnt about key aspects of the intellectual property system in the Republic of Belarus: trademark protection, copyright, and collective management of property rights.

EAPO examiners gave lectures on the Eurasian patent system:

• Director of the EAPO Information Technologies Department Denis Zastavnyi described the opportunities offered by the EAPO digital system for applicants and rights holders.
• Deputy director of the EAPO Examination Department, director of the Chemistry and Medicines Division Aurelia Ceban presented the specifics of the Eurasian procedure for patenting inventions.
• Examiner of the Mechanics, Physics and Electrical Engineering Division at the Examination Department Valentin Panko spoke about patent protection for inventions implemented by means of computers or artificial intelligence.
• Examiner of the Mechanics, Physics and Electrical Engineering Division at the Examination Department Nikolay Ziatdinov described the prospects and advantages of the Eurasian patent system.
• Examiner of the Industrial Designs Division at the Examination Department Marine Stepanyan presented the specifics of the Eurasian procedure for patenting industrial designs.
