EAPO President Grigory Ivliev held a meeting with the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP), Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Swailem, at the EAPO Headquarters in Moscow.

The Saudi delegation presented the results of the SAIP’s activities. The number of applications for inventions, industrial designs and trademarks has increased. Educational programs aimed at buiding IP capacity and supporting the innovation ecosystem are of great importance.
The parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including expanding dialogue between examiners, mutual promotion of IP services, educational initiatives, and promoting the Russian and Arabic languages at WIPO.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment strengthening cooperation and exploring new prospects for joint projects.
“The Eurasian Patent Office is committed to dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation in the interests of service users. We are interested in holding seminars, consultations, and meetings to raise awareness of the regional protection system,” stated Grigory Ivliev.
