The conference on the protection of intellectual property in the context of technological development, organized by the Russian State University of Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization, was held in Tomsk, Russian Federation on November 13, 2019.
The conference was aimed at discussing legal protection of IP rights in the current development of innovative and information technologies.
The representative of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) in his presentation “Protection of computer technology solutions in the framework of the Eurasian patent law – theory and practical cases” reported on the EAPO approaches to the examination of inventions related to computer programs and algorithms, as well as highlighted specific aspects of drafting the claims of an Eurasian patent application.
