The EAPO hosted a traditional meeting with Eurasian patent attorneys on the eve of the International IP Day. Such meetings serve as an important platform for discussing the Office’s development strategies and collecting feedback from the professional community.
EAPO President Grigory Ivliev stated:
“We are pleased to observe that the cooperation between the Eurasian patent attorneys and the EAPO has strengthened and reached a qualitatively new level. We would also like to highlight the integration efforts that led to the establishment of the Assembly of Eurasian Patent Attorneys.”
Since the establishment of the Assembly:
- a cooperation agreement has been signed (2023);
- representatives of the Assembly have been involved in the EAPO Qualification and Appeal Commissions;
- the Rules of professional conduct for Eurasian patent attorneys have been drafted;
- an advanced training program for candidates for the title of Eurasian patent attorneys (specializing in inventions and industrial designs) has been developed;
- joint international events have been organized.

There are currently 474 Eurasian patent attorneys specializing in inventions, 38 specializing in industrial designs, and 80 qualified in both fields.
