Congratulations from the President of the Eurasan Patent Office

Ladies and gentlemen!
Esteemed colleagues!

On April 26, 2003, the progressive humanity will celebrate its third International Day of Intellectual Property held under the auspices of the World Intellectual Property Organization – the Day that became one of the outstanding features of the 21st century.
This major event, no doubt, further testifies the increasing importance of the role played by the intellectual property and its important component – industrial property.

As an unlimited source of development, this multifaceted area of creative activity is of especial importance for countries with transitional economies, such as the Eurasian region states.

The Eurasian Patent Organization and its Office, which, same as other regional and national patent organizations and offices, are an active part of the world-wide system of intellectual property protection, fully understand the importance of this system not only for the social, economic and cultural development of this region’s countries, but also for the future of the entire world.
Relying on the best of the world’s experience in the area of organizational, legislative, informational and staffing support for patent procedures, our Organization does everything within its powers to make the Eurasian patent procedures more convenient, affordable, and reliable.

“Making intellectual property your business” is the keynote of the International Intellectual Property Day celebrated this year and asserting the importance of intellectual activity, its legal protection, and the use of its results for the benefit of each and all of us. In the global sense it testifies that the future of civilization depends, to a great extent, on how we succeed in integrating and using its intellectual resources.

On behalf of our Organization and its Office I sincerely congratulate on this important day you – the inventors, creators and business people, organizations, firms and companies, all those whose activity is or will be related with intellectual property.

Please accept our cordial wishes of success in all that makes our work important and significant for the national and world-wide progress.

Victor Blinnikov
President
