The EAPO continues to consistently strengthen its international partnerships by expanding cooperation with national and regional IP Offices to promote the development of the IP system.
In Geneva, the President of the EAPO Grigory Ivliev held a series of bilateral meetings during which the parties discussed opportunities to expand practical cooperation, exchange expertise, and implement joint initiatives.
During a meeting with Dr. Abdelrahman Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector at the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the parties discussed promising areas for cooperation and reaffirmed their interest in further developing their partnership.
The meeting with Ms. Gulzat Isamatova, Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, focused on the prospects for practical cooperation and a Cooperation Agreement on conducting information searches and examining applications for invention patents was signed.
A trilateral meeting between the EAPO, the IP Office of Mongolia, and Rospatent was dedicated to expanding cooperation and potential areas for joint work.
During a meeting with Mr. Erlan Sarsembayev, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the parties discussed initiatives of mutual interest and expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation.
Mr. Grigory Ivliev and Mr. Muzraf Ikramov, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, confirmed their mutual interest in expanding partnership cooperation, strengthening professional ties, and implementing joint projects, and signed a Cooperation Program between the Eurasian Patent Organization and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2026–2027.
