A training program for specialists from the national patent offices of EAPO member states has started
The Eurasian Patent Office is hosting a training program under the theme “Legal Protection of Industrial Designs in the Eurasian Region: Practical Issues of Registration and Opposition, Overlapping Rights in Industrial Designs and Trademarks, and the Experience of the Eurasian Patent Office and National Patent Offices.”
Participants include representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
During the opening of the program, Mr. Vladimir Ryabovolov, vice-president of the EAPO, highlighted the high practical value of such programs, which provide specialists from across the Eurasian region with an opportunity to exchange experience in person and discuss practical issues arising in the course of examination procedures.
The program covers all stages of processing Eurasian industrial design applications, as well as relevant EAPO information resources.
The training will also include a round table discussion on the topic: “Experience of National Patent Offices in Working with Industrial Designs”.
