EAPO President Grigory Ivliev stated this at the international forum “Innovative Development through the Intellectual Property Market.”
Grigory Ivliev noted that the Eurasian patent law ensures unified approaches at the regional level to providing legal protection to IP objects strategically important for the common market of goods, works and services.
“The creation of the Eurasian system for legal protection of trademarks will expand opportunities for the registration of means of identification. The number of goods on the cross-border market will increase, and almost all their intangible components will be protected across all Eurasian states. This will bring additional benefits not only to manufacturers and consumers but also to the economies of the states as a whole,” Grigory Ivliev emphasized at the forum’s plenary session.
Besides, the EAPO President moderated the session “IP Market and Eurasian Legal Protection: Practice of EAPO Member States.”
The specialists from the EAPO and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property, as well as Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan made reports at the conference.
